Discovery Semiconductors Inc.Discovery Semiconductors Inc. has introduced the model R205M balanced optical receiver for lidar and eye-safe free-space applications. This receiver has a wavelength range of 1.2 to 2.2 µm and operates at 150 MHz with a peak gain at 20 dB. The compact hermetic package includes matched InGaAs/InP photodiodes and a low-noise amplifier. It can be used in coherent lightwave link designs to eliminate laser relative intensity noise. The R205M is offered with a choice of optical input connectors and a type K or dual GPPO/SMMP coaxial RF output.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 10/27/2021Fiber Optic Solutions for Medical DevicesSteve Allen provides a brief overview and examples of procedures that continue to push adoption and proliferation of optical fiber-based medical devices.
