The setup includes a MEMS optical scanner, lenses, a Faraday rotator, a diffraction grating and a photodiode. The angle of the scanner determines the wavelength that reaches the photodiode, and rotating it changes the wavelength. A 12-bit A/D converter switches the output signal to digital, and a PC processes the input light spectrum measurements and displays the results.
