Request InfoPI (Physik Instrumente) LP, Motion Control, Air Bearings, Piezo MechanicsPI (Physik Instrumente) LP has added a device with an optical deflection range of 6° to its line of ultrafast piezo-driven steering mirrors and scanners. Piezoceramic actuators provide acceleration to 10,000 g, making the mirrors suitable for fast image-correction applications. For minimum friction and maximum guiding precision and lifetime, frictionless flexures are integrated into the system to control the mirror's trajectory. Sensors feed the exact position information back to a piezo controller and enable angular resolution down to the nanoradian realm.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra January 2023 IssueSteering MirrorsPiezo and voice-coil steering mirrors from Physik Instrumente LP are designed for free space optical communications.
