Measuring 4 mm in diameter and 20 mm long, it is suitable for implantable medical devices, microfluidic pumps, night-vision systems, autofocus mechanisms for mobile phone cameras and nanotechnology tools for research. It also is available in a metal housing to drive miniature linear positioning stages.
