The LC-R 768 and 720 modulate coherent or incoherent light spatially in amplitude and phase. Both have a reflective liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplay with WXGA 1280 × 768-pixel resolution and a fill factor of 92%. Pixel pitch for the LC-R 768 is 12 µm and for the LC-R 720 is 20 µm. Frame rates are 60 and 180 Hz, respectively. With an intensity ratio of 4000:1 using a 633-nm coherent light source, the LC-R 768 is suitable for use in imaging and projection applications. The LC-R 720’s response time of <3 ms...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics Spectra September 2023 IssueSpatial Light ModulatorThe X15213-03CL liquid crystal on silicon spatial light modulator (LCOS-SLM) from Hamamatsu Photonics delivers high power handling capability of up to 700 watts for laser beam machining of metal...Photonics.com 2/15/2023Spatial Light ModulatorsSpatial Light Modulators from Electro Optical Components Inc. use translucent and reflective liquid crystal micro-display technology to modify the amplitude and phase of incident light one pixel at a...ARTICLESBioPhotonics Jan/Feb 2023 IssueAdvanced Holography Efficiently Illuminates Neuronal PatternsDemystifying the complexity of the human brain is one of the last frontiers in diagnostics and therapeutics.
