The device has high noise immunity, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, an input voltage range of 12 to 28 VDC and low power consumption. Applications include robotics, speed control and machine tools. The encoder uses an industry-standard DB9 connector, and the outputs have source and sink capability.
