Request InfoCoherent Inc.SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 4, 2007 -- The new Chameleon Ultra II laser from Coherent Inc. delivers a major increase in both tuning range and output power, compared to previous one-box ultrafast lasers, the company said. Specifically, Chameleon Ultra II produces over 3.3 W of output power (a 65 percent increase over earlier models) and produces continuous tuning over the 690-nm to 1080-nm spectral range, while similar ultrafast lasers reach only to 1050 nm. Coherent said Chameleon’s extended infrared performance will be a major benefit for many types of MPE (multiphoton excitation) microscopy, enabling deeper live tissue...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSBioPhotonics Sep/Oct 2023 IssuePump LaserFurukawa Electric has extended the normal C-band range of the FRL1441U Series pump laser to enable applications in the S-band and L-band of high output power, low power consumption for Raman...BioPhotonics Mar/Apr 2024 IssueRed Microscopy LaserThe OBIS 640 XT from Coherent Corp. is a red diode-pumped solid-state laser module for super-resolution microscopy.
