ACTON, Mass., May 9, 2006 -- The Acton LS 785 Raman spectrograph from Princeton Instruments (PI) is optimized for the near-infrared (NIR). A proprietary refractive, five-element f/2 lens design produces the highest quality imaging and field flatness for spectroscopic analysis in the 700- to 1000-nm region. A unique antireflection coating developed by the Acton Optics Coating Laboratory ensures 99.4-percent transmission per element over the working spectral range.
