Request InfoScitec Instruments Ltd.Scitec Instruments Ltd. has launched a 4-W wire coil-wound broadband IR source mounted on a TO-5 header for laboratory or field use. At steady state, the coiled filament operates at ∼950 °C when powered with 4 W, and it can be pulsed up to 1 Hz with a higher power input. When operated at 1 Hz and 50% duty cycle with 7.1 W, the output is a well-defined saw tooth with ∼34% modulation depth. Emissivity is ∼0.75, expected lifetime is ∼25,000 h, and the active area measures 1.8 × 1.8 mm.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 10/25/2023Advancement of Photoacoustic Spectroscopy in Biomedicine Leveraging QCL-IROptoacoustic spectroscopy, a technique originally established in the 19th century, is currently being leveraged to push boundaries in biomedical science.
