3SP Technologies SASNOZAY, France, March 24, 2009 – The 1999 HEP series 980-nm pump laser modules have been unveiled by 3S Photonics. Operating at an internal temperature of 45 °C, the modules do not require a thermoelectric cooler and can deliver up to 500-mW ex-fiber output power while, the company says, enabling a better than 40% reduction in power consumption compared with existing pumps. This energy savings, along with low operating current levels, will permit the design of a new class of erbium-doped fiber amplifiers with stringent power requirements. The pump modules incorporate the proprietary and high-reliability...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPromoted Content May 2023 IssueLasers and Component SpectrometersMetrohm has opened a new webshop for lasers, component spectrometers, and Raman spectroscopy sampling solutions.
