Request InfoFibercoreFibercore Ltd. has unveiled the SM300, a single-mode fiber with an undoped silica core designed for high-power medical and biotechnical applications. Delivered in ultraviolet, blue and green wavelengths, the fiber addresses the problem of photodarkening in conventional fibers when transmitting more than a few milliwatts in the respective spectra. The silica core’s fluorinated cladding features apertures of 0.1 to 0.11. The fiber is suitable for applications requiring single-mode and high-beam quality, including laser Doppler velocimetry and anemometry, holography and two-photon spectroscopy.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSBioPhotonics Mar/Apr 2024 IssueBragg Grating Notch FiltersThe WSF series from TeraXion comprises all-fiber band-stop (notch) filters that are used to selectively attenuate or block a wavelength or a range of wavelengths while allowing others to pass...Photonics.com 7/18/2023Fiber StripperThe Fujikura SS-110 Specialty Fiber Stripper from AFL is designed for fiber splicing applications in industries such as military, oil and gas, and medicine.
