Request InfoLighting-Class LEDWolfspeed Inc.DURHAM, N.C., Oct. 9, 2009 – Cree Inc. has announced the commercial availability of the XLamp XP-G cool white LED, a bright and efficient lighting-class LED. It produces up to 367 lm when driven at 1A, at a typical efficacy of 111 lm/W, making it 46% brighter and 64% more efficient than the proprietary XR-E LED, with an 80% smaller footprint, according to the company. This level of performance can reduce the required number of LEDs as well as the size and cost of LED fixtures. High efficacy at a reduced current (up to 132 lm/W, typical, at 350 mA) can lower the total power requirement for a portable or solar lighting...See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSPhotonics.com 7/26/2023White LEDsThe fourth generation of XLamp® XP-G white LEDs from Cree LED Inc. provide improved optical performance and efficacy.
