Request InfoVeco USA Inc.A method for the production of meshes or grids with a higher aspect ratio has been developed by Stork Veco BV. Its grid results in higher yields in time-of-flight/mass spectrometry processes. A photoresist combined with an updated electroforming process has allowed prototypes with an aspect ratio of 3:1, producing 20-μm bars in a 60-μm-thick mesh. The grid is created from pure nickel that can withstand vibration and that avoids unwanted material stress, resulting in a more rigid product with an optional higher open area.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSBioPhotonics Mar/Apr 2024 IssueSpectroscopy ModuletrinamiX in collaboration with LUMILEDS and VIAVI has developed a miniaturized spectroscopy module that can be integrated into a smartphone.
