It is equipped with a 2048-element linear CCD array, a 16-bit digitizer and a plug-and-play USB 2.0 interface that transfers data at a rate of up to 180 spectra per second. Compared with noncooled CCD spectrometers, the device offers a higher dynamic range, reduced dark counts and good baseline stability, making it suitable for low-light-level detection and long-term monitoring applications, according to the company.
