The lasers provide traceability when packaging is being marked with unique identification and when pills are branded with logos. They do not use any consumables, making integration of the laser cleaner and more cost-efficient. The LMC laser has the ability to mark at a rate of up to 410,000 pills/hour with dual laser head usage.
