Working with your benchtop spectrometer at high and low sample cuvette temperatures

Spectroscopy labs are home to spectrometers of varying types: UV-Vis-NIR absorbance, fluorescence, and circular dichroism, for example, all sitting on benches at room temperature. When a scientist wants to measure spectral properties of a sample at temperatures far removed from room temperature, problems arise. This white paper discusses the issues that come with thermostatting a liquid sample in a cuvette at temperatures far removed from room temperature, from -50 degrees C to +150 degrees C.
