Jobs in Photonics Second Annual European Survey
Comparing last year's results with this year's, we find that job satisfaction remains steady, but that keeping up with technology is a problem.
In this, our second European survey, we were pleased to see that once again our readers took the time to respond. With a more than 30 percent return on the questionnaire, they provided us with a good representation of what is happening in the field.
It is no surprise that when we asked our readership, "What is the toughest problem you find working in the photonics industry?" one of the answers was job stability. What is more interesting is that many of the problems cited were related to technology and business, not to the work environment.
