SOUTHAMPTON, England, Jan. 30 -- Mesophotonics Ltd., a developer of disruptive photonic crystal technology, has announced the closing of a $10 million second-round fund raising. Quester led the investment; participants included Auriga Partners (Paris), NIF Ventures Co. Ltd (Tokyo) and existing investor BTG. As part of this investment, Jamie Brooke, of Quester, and Francois Lainee, of Auriga Partners, will join the Mesophotonics board of directors. The company said the new funding will benefit its effort to move from a prototyping to a product development phase aimed at bringing a new class of...Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesCMOS-Compatible Photodetector Spurs Possibilities in e-SWIR BandHigh-bandwidth germanium-tin (GeSn) photodetectors, developed by a team at Polytechnique Montréal to support CMOS-compatible technologies in the extended shortwave infrared (e-SWIR)...Photonics Spectra August 2022 IssueLiquid Silica Resin Optimizes 3D Printing for Complex Micro-OpticsA liquid silica resin (LSR) developed by researchers at the University of Arizona has proven successful as a 3D-printing medium for complex micro-optics.
