eMagin Corp., a Hopewell Junction, N.Y., maker of active matrix organic light-emitting diode (OLED)-on-silicon displays, announced that its SVGA+ microdisplay is being used in a fire control system being developed by Vinghog AS, of Tonsberg, Norway. The FCS was selected as the primary sight unit in the R&D phase for the Norwegian Soldier Modernization Program (NORMANS - Norwegian Modular Arctic Network Soldier). . . . Accent Optical Technologies, a Bend., Ore., supplier of lattice engineering and photolithography process control tools, announced it has sold a Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) system to Siltronic (formerly Wacker Siltronic), a manufacturer of high-purity silicon wafers and a supplier to chip manufacturers. Accent's QS3300EG FTIR machine will be used in Siltronic's new 300-mm fabrication facility in Freiberg, Germany, for epitaxial process control.
