L-3 Communications of New York has bought Brashear LP of Pittsburgh for roughly $36 million. Also, its intended acquisition of Cincinnati Electronics of Mason, Ohio, from CMC Electronics Inc. of Montreal for approximately $172 million was expected to be approved in July.
