Light Blue Optics Signs Licensing Agreement
In Cambridge, UK, Light Blue Optics Ltd., a developer of miniature laser projection technology, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement on a patent with Cambridge Enterprise Ltd., the technology commercialization service of the University of Cambridge. Light Blue Optics’ patent is on a holographic projection method that uses laser light sources and diffractive techniques to deliver real-time, full-color video images in focus at all distances — even on curved or angled surfaces. Offering compact size and power efficiency, the system has applications in the automotive, digital signage and consumer electronics markets.
