  • Q-On, Laser Components Collaborate on QCLs

Laser Components IG Inc. of Hudson, N.H., and Q-On of Vienna, Austria, announced they will work together to develop and manufacture quantum cascade lasers (QCLs). Q-On has taken over the design and processing of wafers, and Laser Components is responsible for production, testing, integration and packaging of its Specdilas-Q in a transistor outline (TO) housing and its Quanta OEM laser head, a miniaturized laser head integrated with both a drive circuit and a quantum cascade laser. Q-ON was founded in 2005 as a spinoff of the Technical University in Vienna.
