  • Bruce Berkoff to Lead Marketing at Ascent Solar

Bruce Berkoff has been appointed its chief marketing officer (CMO), Ascent Solar Technologies Inc. announced Monday. Berkoff brings over 25 years of executive experience in engineering, product development and marketing for technology companies to his new position, most recently serving as chief marketing officer of LG Philips LCD, a TFT (thin-film transistor) LCD supplier. Berkoff currently serves on the boards of directors of LG Display (LPL) and Unipixel and is chairman of the LCD TV Association. He was CEO of Enuclia Semiconductor, CMO and executive vice president at LPL, vice president and general manager at Philips Components FDS, and has held various other executive positions. Ascent Solar is a Littleton, Colo.-based developer of flexible thin-film photovoltaic modules for building materials, consumer electronics and space applications.
