Medical device company SpectraScience Inc. of San Diego has received a Canadian patent for its optical biopsy system and methods for tissue diagnosis. The patent will provide protection of tissue surveillance, characterization, diagnosis and treatment. It will also support the company’s technology of noninvasive, low-level laser diagnosis of precancerous and cancerous tissue.
