Radiant Adds 2 Distributors

Radiant Imaging of Redmond, Wash., a provider of CCD-based imaging systems for color and light measurement, has appointed two new distributors for its ProMetric imaging colorimeter-based measurement solutions. Laser 2000 Benelux CV will sell and support the devices in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, while Atlantek Vision Pty. Ltd. will do the same in Australia and New Zealand. Both appointments are effective immediately. Radiant Imaging’s systems and services for light source and lighting system characterization have applications in the LED, flat panel and projection display, and architectural, entertainment and automotive lighting markets.



GLOSSARY
colorimeter
1. A visual instrument in which the amounts of three primary lights that match a test color when additively mixed are determined and provide a measure (the tristimulus values) of the test color. 2. A visual or photoelectric instrument for measuring color using (usually) three filters with broad spectral bands. 3. In chemistry, a color comparator used to determine the concentration of absorbing species by Beer's law.

The science of the measurement of light intensity, where "light'' refers to the total integrated range of radiation to which the eye is sensitive.
