Basler Names Sales Manager for Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands
AHRENSBURG, Germany, June 5, 2015 — 
Cor Valk has been named business development and sales manager for camera maker Basler AG in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Those three countries make up the Benelux region, which Basler called "among the most important European markets for the machine vision industry."
Valk has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development, as well as 9 years in product management. His resume includes positions at international corporations Omron Corp. and Sick AG, where he was involved in sales and developing new markets within a technical environment.
Working from his office near Amsterdam, Valk will collaborate with Basler distributor DVC Machinevision BV.
Basler manufactures digital cameras for industrial and video surveillance applications, medical devices, and traffic systems. The company employs almost 500 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg, Germany, as well as in international subsidiaries and offices in the U.S., Singapore, Taiwan, China, Japan and South Korea.
