Stephen Kidd, Ph.D, has been selected to take on the responsibilities of marketing and product management for the Melles Griot line of nanopositioning and machine vision products used for telecommunications component manufacturing. He will also lead territory-based account managers, customer service and engineering integration teams that configure custom fiber alignment workstations. Dr. Kidd is in his fifth year with the company, and obtained his Ph.D. from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. "Dr. Kidd's unique background, experience in telecommunications applications, and leadership abilities have helped meet the needs of a dramatically growing fiber-positioning customer base," said Lynn Strickland, director of worldwide marketing for Melles Griot. "His strategic nature will help position Melles Griot to meet future needs of our telecommunications industry customers."
