Allied Motion Acquires ORMEC, Expands Motion System Capabilities

AMHERST, N.Y., Nov. 3, 2021 — Allied Motion, a designer and manufacturer of precision motion products, has acquired ORMEC Systems Corp. ORMEC develops and manufactures electro-mechanical automation solutions and motion control products, including multi-axis controls, actuators for the automation and aerospace industries, and servo-control and servo-positioning systems.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“ORMEC is an excellent bolt-on acquisition that strengthens our technical expertise and adds a higher level of precision motion control systems and solutions to our offerings,” said Dick Warzala, Allied Motion chairman and CEO.

ORMEC additionally designs software solutions for custom automation applications. ORMEC President and CEO Edward Krasnicki will continue to lead the company under Allied Motion.

Motion control solutions from Allied Motion support surgical robotics, barcode scanning, aerospace and defense applications, and advanced automation systems such as those found in semiconductor and electronic test, assembly, and packaging equipment.
