Brugal Joins Intevac
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 6, 2012 — Andres “Drew” Brugal has been hired as executive vice president and general manager of Intevac Photonics, the business segment of Intevac Inc., the company announced.
Brugal has more than 30 years of experience in the global defense and aerospace markets. He will be responsible for managing and growing Intevac Photonics, which develops and manufactures high-sensitivity imaging products and vision systems, and tabletop and handheld Raman instruments.
He was previously president and chief executive officer of Vision Systems International.
Intevac comprises two businesses: Intevac Photonics and Equipment. The Equipment business supplies magnetic media processing systems to the hard-drive industry and offers high-productivity solutions to the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.
