FujiFilm Microdevices Co. Ltd. has tapped Kopin Corp. of Taunton, Mass., to provide its CyberDisplay active-matrix liquid crystal display (LCD) for FujiFilm's digital camera chip sets. The new chip sets should lead to cameras that have advanced, high-resolution, small form factor color displays. The companies plan to integrate FujiFilm Microdevices' charge-coupled device analog and logic circuits with the CyberDisplay, which is a 0.24-in. diagonal transmissive active-matrix LCD imaging device. Currently, the technology is found in cellular phones, pagers, smart cards, photographs and video from the Internet.
