MIRTHE to Host Investment Workshop on Medical Apps of Mid-IR Tech
The National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center on Mid-Infrared Technologies for Health and the Environment (MIRTHE) has announced that it will host an Investment Focus Group (IFG) Workshop on Medical Applications for Mid-IR Technologies at Princeton University on Oct. 12.
The event is intended to engage a multidisciplinary group of individuals and stakeholders to help speed the adoption of emerging technologies by defining the market applications and opportunities.
MIRTHE is working with the Cleveland Clinic to increase visibility and understanding among clinicians and other medical personnel and is reaching out to private and corporate venture capitalists as well as other investors interested in the medical and health care fields.
The event will include talks about medical applications such as human breath monitoring, glucose sensing, cancer detection and diagnostics, eye surgery and environmental health monitoring, as well as a poster session and networking opportunities.
