Planar Systems Inc. of Beaverton, Ore., has designed an improvement to its Dome EX line of diagnostic displays in cooperation with Matrox Graphics Inc. of Dorval, Quebec, Canada. The devices, equipped with Matrox MED series 10-bit graphics control boards, can display 1024 digital imaging and communications in medicine-calibrated gray shades. The displays have applications in the operating room and in cardiology, nuclear medicine, PET/CT and radiology.
