Clear All Filters xradiography x
radiography
A photographic process using x-ray radiation or the g-rays of radioactive materials.
autoradiography
The photographic recording of the distribution and location of radioactive substances found in a specimen. The record formed is the autoradiograph.
cineradiography
The photographic filming of the action of x-ray images recorded on a fluorescent screen by means of large lens apertures and highly sensitive filters.
contact microradiography
The radiography of small objects having detail too fine to be seen by the unaided eye. The resulting negative, when optically enlarged, can be examined.
digital radiography
Medical diagnostic (x-ray) imaging using laser printers to produce high-resolution digital hard copy instead of film exposed by phosphor-intensifying screens, thus providing radiologists with greater...
electron microradiography
The photographic recording, and later enlarging, of very thin specimens, using an electron beam to form the image.
flash radiography
A technique used in radiography to obtain an unblurred image of a moving object by the use of very short x-ray exposures, such as one microsecond, to record the image.
gamma radiography
Radiography using the emission of gamma rays to form an image of the structure penetrated by the radiation.
high-speed radiography
A method of producing x-ray exposures as short as 0.03 µs; the primary application is in ballistic radiography.
historadiography
Techniques used in biology to produce microradiographs of cells, tissues or small organisms.
microradiography
Radiographic recording and enhancement of the micoscopic details within the structure of thin specimens at a high magnification. Also known as x-ray micrography
neutron radiography
The nondestructive analysis and recording of industrial components based on the absorption of relatively low-energy neutrons by material having low atomic numbers. The visible image formed by the...
powder radiography
A technique used in radiography to determine a crystal's structure by obtaining radiographs of it in powder form, normally by the use of a powder camera that forms an image of the crystal's x-ray...
sonoradiography
The diagnostic procedure that uses ultrasonic energy to probe the body and, with the help of laser beams, a reflecting membrane to produce a three-dimensional picture.
teleradiography
A method of taking radiographs at a distance from the object being photographed to decrease distortion.
x-radiography
Radiography using the emission of x-rays to form an image of the structure penetrated by the radiation.
xeroradiography
A printing process of electrostatic electrophotography that uses a photoconductive insulating medium, in conjunction with x-rays or gamma rays, to produce latent electrostatic-charge patterns for...
x-ray micrography -> microradiography
Radiographic recording and enhancement of the micoscopic details within the structure of thin specimens at a high magnification. Also known as x-ray micrography
cine fluorography
The application of a cine camera in recording the images on a fluorescent screen. When x-rays are used to produce the screen images, this process is referred to as cine-radiography.
clinical photography
The application of photography, with the exception of radiography, to obtain pictures of parts or the whole of a patient to make a diagnosis.
DR
digital radiography
grenz rays
The soft x-rays used in the industrial radiography of materials having too small a range of densities to produce an image with normal x-rays.
line scan
Line scan refers to a method of capturing images or data by scanning a single line at a time, as opposed to capturing the entire image simultaneously. This technique is commonly used in various...
radioactive tracer
A radioactive element that is placed or injected into a system to obtain an autoradiogram of the system. It is used in a number of fields where standard methods of internal imaging, for example,...
