VIOLET LASER An instrument-quality laser diode module that operates at 405 ±10 nm and yields 50 mW of circularized violet output has been released by Power Technology Inc. The device has a precision current source and a PID temperature-control loop for stable wavelength and output power. It operates in either constant-current or automatic-power-control mode and is available with CW or modulated output. Features include adjustable focus and quality glass optics. It is suitable for laser-induced fluorescence, interferometry, spectroscopy and high-resolution printing.
