Berkeley Nucleonics Corp. says its V1.20 firmware upgrade for the Model 555 digital delay pulse generator increases the instrument's communications processing speed by as much as 10 times, with both RS-232 and GPIB. The device now enables users to modify and fine-tune their delaying, gating and triggering tasks for on-the-fly, real-time work. Reconfiguring the instrument via the recall command takes <100 ms. The firmware can be downloaded from the company's Web site.
