Cree Inc. has expanded its family of green LEDs with the XT-290 and XB-900 models. The 527-nm XT-290 has a typical radiant flux of 9 mW at 20 mA and typical forward voltage of 3.2 V. The XB-900 comes in 527- and 505-nm versions. The former has a typical radiant flux of 30 mW at 350 mA, and the latter, 45 mW at 350 mA. They are suitable for applications that combine discrete red, green and blue LEDs to create white light, such as traffic signals and signage.
