For Line Scan and Area Scan Cameras
BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 18 -- Edmund Optics (EO), a manufacturer of multielement lenses, lens coatings, imaging systems and optomechanical equipment, has introduced its new large-format lenses specifically for line scan and area scan cameras. The company says these high-performance imaging lenses are compatible with leading-edge 12k pixel cameras and produce up to 100l p/mm image space resolution.
Able to accommodate 5-µm pixel sizes and sensors up to 90 mm, the company says these low distortion lenses are ideal for high-resolution line scan applications. At a maximum aperture of f/4, these high-accuracy lenses provide twice the amount of light throughput of comparable lenses, according to EO.
Two lens options are available at nominal values of 1.4X and 0.7X, with the performance guaranteed over a specified range of magnifications. Lens cell includes locking, variable iris and has 64 mm max diameter with M52 x 0.75 mm front filter thread. Focusing and mounting options are available for the most common camera interfaces. Typical applications include web inspection, flat panel (LCD, plasma) inspection, factory automation and food/beverage inspection.
