  • Rugged Cameras for High Performance in Harsh Environments
Feb 2006
Adimec Electronic Imaging Inc.Request Info
Adimec has introduced its new line of rugged megapixel cameras for defense and commercial applications. The Adimec RA1000 camera line offers superior day-imaging performance in monochrome or color with resolutions of 1 to 4 megapixels. Unlike existing industrial megapixel cameras, the Adimec RA1000 family is designed to meet the most stringent environmental requirements. These cameras are qualified according to MIL-STD-810E for high-quality imaging in naval-, airborne- and vehicle-based platforms. “The Adimec RA1000 camera family is the first to offer high resolution digital cameras that are qualified for military applications yet available commercially and off-the-shelf”, said Jay Rice, vice president of sales and marketing for Adimec in North America. “These cameras offer exceptional imaging performance with the confidence of military durability and the convenience of commercial availability.” Adimec’s cameras have been relied on by leading defense OEMs for many years for capturing and digitizing images in long-range and situational awareness systems. The RA1000 cameras are ideal for commercial OEM’s and military contractors looking for high-resolution cameras in targeting, observation or high-end surveillance systems.
