Euresys sa has announced that its Picolo Alert video capture board is available in a PCI Express version. Picolo Alert PCIe has total digitizing power of 200/240 fps constantly available and shared among up to 16 channels. Capture and preview functions are available simultaneously for each camera and are configurable for image acquisition rate, resolution, cropping, scaling, contrast, brightness, saturation and storage format. The board includes a watchdog circuit and nine professional I/O lines to trigger image capture, to strobe during acquisition or to interface to various alarm systems. Applications include video surveillance, security and machine vision.
