Linos Photonics GmbH & Co. KG has announced the OS 4500, a continuous-wave singly-resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO) for high-resolution spectroscopy. It is equipped with control and stabilization electronics and an integrated 1064-nm pump laser. Its output is converted into signal and idler radiation in a periodically-poled MgO-doped lithium niobate crystal placed inside an optical resonator. Stable single-frequency operation is achieved by an intracavity etalon. The integration of several poling periods on a single crystal delivers a 1.38- to 2.0-μm emission range for signal radiation and a 2.28- to 4.67-μm range for idler radiation.
