LabSmith Inc. has launched the HVS448 6000V high-voltage sequencer that supplies and manipulates up to 6000 V in MEMS and microfluidics experiments. It coordinates the sequence of experimental events based on real-world feedback to synchronize flows and apparatus. Able to reconfigure in seconds, it is used in applications such as electrophoresis, pulsed field studies, electrochromatography and lab-on-a-chip research. It senses minute current or voltage changes and responds in real time to control functions. Its eight channels can switch between supplying and sensing at up to ±3 kV or at up to ±6 mA with 16-bit resolution, and acting as a voltmeter.
