Intense Ltd. has released INSlam, a compact, flexible laser diode module for defense and digital printing applications. It is based on the proprietary quantum well intermixing process, which enables the integration of a large number of high-power individually addressable single-mode lasers on one chip, providing precise delivery of optical energy. Available in single- and multimode configurations, the module contains individually addressable laser arrays with 10 to 100 emitters that operate within the 808- to 980-nm range. It is effective with an individual pitch as low as 70 μm and with a power range of 30 to 200 mW, and it provides more than 10,000 h of operation, according to the company. Optical, electronic and thermal management components are included.
