Photon DesignPhoton Design has released Fimmprop-3D, a tool for simulating 3-D propagation phenomena in waveguides. It allows users to analyze a variety of 3-D waveguide structures. The algorithm on which Fimmprop-3D is based is fully bidirectional and vectorial, and has no paraxial approximations, so it can do even wide-angle diffraction problems. It uses a scattering-matrix framework so that a component is solved for all inputs simultaneously.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaWEBINARSPhotonics.com 7/22/2021STANDARDS UPDATE: Vision Standards: An Overview of Global and A3 DevelopmentsStandards play a key role in the vision and imaging industry by ensuring interoperability of components, increasing market size, and shortening the time it takes to get new products to market.
