BEAUMONT, Texas, Feb. 5, 2008 -- Infrared Cameras' ICI 7320 infrared imaging radiometer, for microscopic temperature measurement, weighs less than 5 oz, with dimensions roughly the size of a business card.

inracam.jpgThermal sensitivity for this uncooled camera is conservatively measured at .038 C, the company said, and the camera operates in the 7 to 14-µ spectral region. The lens enables the operator to measure targets as small as 25 µms in diameter -- about half the thickness of a human hair. Seven lenses are also available, from close up to telephoto. The camera is powered by a USB 2.0 connection, through which digital data is also transferred.

Applications include microelectronic inspection, printed circuit board inspections, microprocessor testing, and biology and pathology.
