Request InfoExailThe NIR-MX800 series from Photline Technologies is a family of LiNbO3 intensity modulators designed for operation in the 800-nm-wavelength region. The company says that the instruments offer the same benefits as their 1550-nm counterparts: high speed, compactness, low drive voltage and reliability. The modulators have an operating wavelength of 780 to 850 nm and an optical return loss that ranges from –45 to –50 dB. The modulators are supplied in a 100 × 15 × 9.5-mm3 package size.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaARTICLESPhotonics.com 6/21/2023Modulator Drives Record-Fast Transmission in Face of Data TrafficAlthough silicon photonics holds potential as a platform for optical transceivers, owing largely to its CMOS compatibility, the approach is limited in its electro-optic bandwidth.
