Bruker Optics Inc. has unveiled its MultiRam stand-alone Fourier transform (FT) Raman spectrometer, which is suitable for demanding research applications in academic, industrial and government laboratories, and also for routine nondestructive analysis of organic and inorganic substances, such as nanomaterials and pharmaceutical raw products and formulations. The dual-channel instrument is equipped with a 1064-nm laser as the standard excitation source for fluorescence suppression. Its large sample compartment accommodates prealigned sampling accessories, including video stages, low- and high-temperature cells, remote probes and well-plate items for high- throughput sampling. Its highly sensitive detectors feature Dewars with hold of longer than five days. The system can be upgraded with a hybrid FT and dispersive Raman microscopy platform.
