Rochester, N.Y., July 25, 2008 – Applied Image has unveiled the next generation of Imatest analytical software programs, the STUDIO 3.0, MASTER 3.0 and API 3.0, to complement the company’s variety of test target arrays.

Applied Image will package the three Imatest software programs as well as the individual APO.exe modules with its test targets, including the ISO and I3A standard targets. Applied’s standard targets include the ISO12233 Digital Camera Still

Resolution Chart and the improved Applied Image Enhanced Digital Resolution Chart, the ISO14524 Digital Camera Contrast Chart and the ISO16067-1 Reflective Scanner Test Chart, in addition to other standards.Applied-Image-Test-Target.jpg

The Studio 3.0 software has replaced the Imatest Light as its new consumer-level product, while the Master 3.0 has replaced the company’s Pro as its enterprise-level software. The studio and master software both include full support for Bayer RAW formats and improved tolerance for distorted images in Colorcheck. The Imatest API 3.0 is its premium analytical software for integrated and automated image analysis solutions that includes all the new features of the Master edition plus multiple image file selection using wildcard characters.

The Imatest software may be used to measure the sharpness and image quality of digital camera images and digitized film images. It also accurately and conveniently determines the performance of a user’s cameras and imaging systems.
