MELAKA, Malaysia, March 30, 2009 – Dominant Semiconductors has introduced high-intensity white (DSW-NJG) and warm-white (DSF-NJG) versions of its right angle DomiLED series, replacing the existing DSW-USD device and completing the company’s product portfolio of low-power white LEDs for sideways illumination. With an operating current of 20 mA, these LEDs feature a typical luminous intensity of 1200 mcd for the white and 1000 mcd for the warm white models.

DomiLED.jpgTheir silicone encapsulation and the low thermal resistance of the housing ensure a long lifetime. The LEDs measure 4.2 × 1.2 × 1.3 mm.

They are suitable for use in the automotive industry and in sideways illumination applications where space is limited, such as backlighting of cellular phone displays and keypads, backlighting of LCDs for PDAs, digital cameras, and signal and channel lighting.
