BOXBOROUGH, Mass., July 21, 2009 – Lanmark Controls Inc. has released its Maestro 3000 series integrated control box. For companies ready to design their own galvanometer-based laser marking prototype system, the "controller-in-a-box" is a plug-and-play laser marking solution that eliminates the need to gather and assemble various system components, enabling fast and cost-effective prototyping ramp-up and time-to-market.
It features an integrated power supply that supplies power directly to the laser marking scan head, eliminating the need for a separate supply outside the control box. It combines the proprietary and compact Ethernet-based LEC-1 controller, the power supply and interface hardware (laser extension and input/output boards) into a slim and lightweight 1U rack-mountable enclosure.

To operate the system, the customer connects a cable from his scan head and loads the WinLase software on a PC. The LEC-1 controller is a networked device that controls multiple laser systems and provides users with lower PC costs, flexible equipment location and simple laser management.

The Maestro 3000 controls two popular fiber lasers on the market: IPG Type B and SPI G3. It also supports an XY/2-100 scan head interface and is supplied with various ports, including a 10/100 Ethernet LAN, two USBs and an output for a laser extension board specific to the type of laser being used.

Optional accessories include the proprietary WinLase LAN software, pendants for simplified handheld local control, and power cords for local markets.
