TechSpec Large-Format Lenses
Oct 2010
Edmund Optics Inc.Request Info
BARRINGTON, N.J., Oct. 22, 2010 — Edmund Optics Inc. has released its high-resolution TechSpec large-format lenses that offer high contrast and sharpness, even at maximum aperture. The imaging lenses are designed for line-scan and large area-scan cameras, and they cover up to a 62-mm large-format sensor to accommodate a variety of applications.

The lenses have a maximum aperture of f/4, which the company says provides twice the amount of light throughput of comparable lenses at f/5 and f/6. They reduce chromatic aberrations and are offered in seven standard lens options at nominal magnification values of 0.33× to 3.0×. The lens cell features a locking variable iris and front filter threading for ease of use. Several focusing and mounting options are available to accommodate most camera interfaces for many of the magnification options.

The lenses feature a robust optical design that achieves a wide magnification range around the stated nominal value. Custom magnifications in lower volumes are available upon request.

The versatile lenses are suitable for use in web inspection, flat panel (LCD, plasma and solar) inspection, factory automation, and food and beverage inspection. They are in stock and available for immediate delivery.
